How does your bottle deposit system work?
When you purchase our delicious, fresh, local, and ORGANIC milk at your favorite store, you will pay a $2.00 bottle deposit. WHEN YOU RETURN YOUR EMPTY 1836 FARMS MILK BOTTLE, YOU WILL GET YOUR $2.00 BOTTLE DEPOSIT BACK OR APPLY IT TO YOUR NEXT PURCHASE OF 1836 FARMS MILK PRODUCTS.

Will you accept other milk brand bottles for the $2.00 refundable deposit?
Only 1836 Farms glass milk bottles are accepted.

What do you do with the bottles when they are returned to the store?
We collect all the bottles that you return to your point of purchase and take them back to our bottling plant where they are RINSED, SANITIZED, TRIPLE WASHED AND REFILLED.
Please be sure to rinse and recycle cap

Is your milk pasteurized?
Yes, but not ultra-pasteurized. We use the medium heat process, which means we heat our milk to 161 degrees for 15 seconds. (That’s why it tastes SO GOOD!)

What do you feed your cows?
Our cows graze on pasture at least 120 days out of the year. The cows we source milk from are fed an organic diet. They are fed a balanced ration which may include organic alfalfa, ryegrass, corn, sunflower meal, soybean meal, sorghum silage and mineral.

Where can I find the expiration date on the milk bottle?
The expiration date can be found on the side of the milk bottle cap.
